This model, named Lot 1607, has an urban narrow silhouette with a tight waist.
The piped stem extends straight from the knee to the hem, making it an option to wear with trainers as well as engineer boots.
L-shaped bar tucks without concealed rivets, in-seams sewn with orange/navy thread and double stitched to look like single stitches.
Raw-ground herringbone slacks, 1605 silver buttons and engraved copper UFO rivets.
DIRT DENIM.
As the name suggests, this denim has an uneven feel reminiscent of the road surface before it was paved.
It has the bounce and softness of heavyweight denim with a nostalgic handmade feel.
The denim is woven on old power looms and shuttle looms, using thicker, more uneven yarns than usual in both the warp and weft, and has a unique material feel.
The old power loom, which is rare even in Okayama, a denim production area, is not efficient in production and requires craftsmanship cultivated over many years.
Dyeing is done by rope-dyeing with a unique recipe of dark indigo with a hint of black. The selvedges are coloured yellow and black to resemble trophies and chequered flags respectively.
Sewing
The ring stitching finished with 'UNION SPECIAL' brings out the beautiful puckering characteristic of vintage. Cotton wrapped around a polyester core
Core yarn is used for the sewing thread. The thread thickness is changed depending on the area. The more you wear it, the more you love it.
The one-wash process means that shrinkage is virtually non-existent.
